Many families find a whole house rental to be the perfect alternative to a hotel. Not only is it economical compared to several hotel rooms, but there are also enormous savings in meals and relaxed entertainment. SIZE AND PRICE OF HOMES Our Commissioning Week homes range from 1 to 6 bedrooms, and can sleep from 2 to 12 people, or more. Many homes augment their beds with sleep sofas, futons, or aerobeds, or allow sleeping bags. The owners determine the maximum number of people allowed, including children. Rates range from $200 - $1000 a night, depending on location and amenities. LENGTH OF STAY Commissioning Week rentals are normally for 7 nights, Saturday to Saturday. Some owners will accept fewer, but generally not until quite close to the event. IN TOWN VS. OUT OF TOWN Homes within walking distance tend to be small and expensive, and lack off-street parking. You get much more house for your money with options just a few miles away. WHEN CAN I BOOK A HOUSE? In order to have our availability as accurate as possible, we like to work in a 16-month window, starting 2008 in January of 2007, for instance. Some owners may agree to commit earlier than that, and lots of owners only decide to be available in February or March of the graduation year. We have NEVER run out of good houses!
